About Us

All over New Hampshire, are small, green, roadside signs, which tell of many events in New Hampshire’s fascinating history. From reading these signs, you can learn of old ski clubs, civil rights activists, and a region of New Hampshire that was an independent country for a time! The first historical marker was placed in 1958, and continue to be made.

We’ve been chasing after these markers for a while, now, beginning on the first day of our honeymoon on the way to Bretton Woods and the Mount Washington Hotel.  Here is a link to our original marker webpage, hopelessly out-of-date and chock full of broken links, but as far as our love affair with the green signs, maybe the honeymoon never ended, so come with NH Markers, and explore the intriguing stories the historical markers tell.
